Balloon Decorations - Do You Know the 2 Easy Secrets For Pricing the Helium-Balloon Weave Arch? By C. Prosper

To effectively and profitably sell a weave arch, you must know how to correctly price it. Since the majority of your designs will involve a main table, and since the majority of main table areas are comprised of 2 nine-foot standard banquet tables, pressed together horizontally to make one long 18ft table which you will drape with a table cloth, you can always do what we call a standard main table measurement which will utilize a standard weave arch of 42 sections (or helixes).

The 2 Easy Secrets To Easily Pricing Your Balloon Weave Arch

Easy Secret #1 - Use A Standard Measurement For All of Your Main Tables - A standard helium weave arch is one of 42 balloon sections or helixes and is priced at $195.00. Since I always suggest that you offer a weave arch with a table centerpiece set of three balloons-inside-of-balloons (which we call a King-7), you now have a "Main Table Weave and King-7 Centerpiece Set". You simple charge $225.00 for this main table "set".

Easy Secret #2 - Use The (Length) x (Height Factor) x (Charge Per Foot) = Cost of Weave Formula - There are indeed weave designs that you may want to do that will involve more than a standard 42 helix formula for a main table. The Chamber of Commerce might ask you to do a weave arch crossing over from one side of the street to the other as finishing line marker for an outdoor marathon. All non-standard weave arches must use this formula.

(Length) x (Height Factor) x (Charge Per Foot) = Cost of Weave

  • Length - is the length of the area measuring across in a straight line that the weave must cover, for example, from one side of the street to the other.
  • Height Factor - is a number-constant of 2. 2 will always be plugged in to this part of the formula.
  • Charge Per Foot - is the final part of the formula which is simply what you want to charge per estimated weave-footage. (I suggest at least $10 per foot.)

Let us see how we would quote the price on a weave going from one side of the street to the other using the above formula. Using a carpenter's retractable tape measure, we find that the width (Length) of the street is 50 feet. We know that the (Height Factor) is 2. We know that the (Charge Per Foot) is $10. So:

(Length) x (Height Factor) x (Charge Per Foot) = Cost of Weave

50 ft. x 2 x $10 = $1000

Your charge for this weave would be one thousand dollars.
